My name is Miguel Reyes, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In 2004, I decided I wanted to go to Full Sail University to pursue a career in the Entertainment Industry as a graphic designer. In 2005, I graduated with my Associates of Science Degree in Digital Media. I continued my education and received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Digital Arts and Design in 2006. Recently I was let go from my previous employer W5 Creative, due to the company taking a financial blow leading to a reduction in force. How ever, I used to work as a full-time Lead Graphic Designer at W5 Creative, a company which specializes in Event Production, Media Creation, Business Communication, and Experiential Marketing. Since I started working at W5 Creative at the end of 2006, I have had the opportunity to work with clients such as ADP(Automatic Data Processing, Inc.), ADP Presidents Club, ADP Total Source, Mitsubishi, Electro Magic and many others. I consider myself to be a well rounded designer who loves to learn as much as I can about all the mediums that make up this industry and to apply my talents into my work to provide options and creativity for the clients. Although I crave to learn about anything that may enhance my arsenal as a graphic designer, I find it almost impossible to design without music. Music is the key to my inspiration and keeps me moving during those late nights after working 18+ hours to complete the project that seems almost impossible to get through, but with the music it evolves my skills and helps me to move forward so I can be able to overcome my next obstacle in my line of work.
Recently I started to get into Motion Graphics, with tasks ranging from asset creation, building concepts, and to oversee animation direction. This new passion that I have for Motion Graphics is due to my extremely talented friend Ricardo Ortiz (Lead Motion Graphics Artist and Editor). Ricardo aka Rick inspired me to get into motion graphics and opened my eyes to what is possible in this realm.
In short, I enjoy anything that may help motivate my creativity and look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience in this industry. Also, I am a laid back individual, who works well with others and prefers to work in a team based environment.
